Why it matters

A note on Brazilian pepper
Brazilian pepper is on Florida's list of invasive plants. It spreads fast and pushes out native plants. If you just cut it, it sprouts back from the stump. To keep it from coming back, the stumps need to be ground or treated right after cutting. We'll talk through the options on your lot. The sap can also irritate skin, so wear gloves if you handle it.
How the job goes
- Tell us the address and send photos or a map pin. For vacant lots, a parcel number helps.
- We walk the lot and mark what stays. Good native trees, like live oaks and slash pines, are often worth keeping.
- We cut the brush and small trees.
- We haul it off, or chip it and spread it if you'd like mulch left on site.

We cut brush and small trees. Full land clearing with grading and root raking is a bigger job. Tell us your plans and we'll say what we can take on.
Do I need a permit to clear my lot?
Clearing may need a permit in some cases, like near wetlands or before building. Check with Indian River County or your city first. We can help you figure out who to call.
Can you keep certain trees?
Yes. We mark the trees you want to keep before we start and cut around them.
How often should an overgrown lot be cut?
Most lots stay under control with a cut once or twice a year after the first clearing.
