When a tree should come down
- The tree is dead, or more than half the canopy is dead.
- The trunk has a deep crack, a large hollow or mushrooms at the base.
- The tree started to lean after a storm, or the soil lifted on one side.
- Roots are breaking the foundation, slab, septic or sea wall.
- The palm has a disease with no cure, like Ganoderma butt rot or lethal bronzing.
- The tree is the wrong tree in the wrong spot, and it will only get worse.

How we take a tree down
Few yards in Vero Beach have room to drop a whole tree. So most removals happen in pieces. A climber or lift cuts the tree from the top down. Ropes and rigging lower each piece to the ground. The trunk comes last, in short rounds.
Before we cut, we plan where every piece goes. We protect lawns, pavers and landscaping. We look for power lines, pool cages, screen enclosures and septic drain fields. Then we clean up, haul the wood and brush, and blow off the driveway.
Storm and emergency removal
After a storm, trees end up on roofs, cars and fences. Call or text 772-882-2583 with photos. Stay away from any tree that touches a power line and call your utility first.
Permits in Indian River County
Some cities and the county have tree protection rules. Rules can cover certain species, large trees or commercial lots. We'll tell you if we think a permit may apply before we start.
For homeowners, Florida Statute 163.045 says a local government can't require a permit, fee or replacement tree to remove a tree on residential property when an ISA Certified Arborist or a Florida licensed landscape architect documents that the tree is a danger to people or property.
That letter has to come from an ISA Certified Arborist or a licensed landscape architect. We aren't certified arborists, so you'd hire one for the letter. Once you have it, we can take the tree down.

Do you remove palm trees?
Yes. We remove all sizes of palms, including cabbage palms, queen palms and royal palms.
Is the stump included?
Removal takes the tree down to a low stump. Grinding the stump is a separate service. We can quote both at once.
Can you remove a tree that's leaning on my house?
Yes. Stay out of that part of the house and call us. We'll rig the tree off the roof in pieces.
Do I need to be home?
Not always. We need gate access and to know where your lines, septic and sprinkler heads are.
